Kirklees is full of energy, talent and independent spirit — but time and time again, it’s ignored in favour of corporate deals, closed-door decisions, and out-of-date thinking. Too often, the council makes plans for the future using ideas from the past. They commission strategies that don’t reflect what’s happening on the ground right now — or what’s needed tomorrow.
 

We believe the people who live and work here know best what this place needs — and it’s time they had a bigger say in shaping its future.
 

The Hospitality Party isn’t a traditional political group. We're a growing community of people who care deeply about where we live and want to protect what makes it special: independent businesses, grassroots culture, and the spirit of doing things together.
 

We’re here to build a better Kirklees. One where:

• It’s easier to run events, use public spaces and bring people together

• Council decisions are transparent, fair, and driven by the people they affect
